NC State will host 2nd Annual Rubbage Ride on March 26!

NC State will host the 2nd annual Rubbage Ride on March 26 as a part of Service Raleigh and in coordination with the Great American Clean-up. The purpose of the ride is to highlight the value of individual action in maintaining a clean, beautiful and litter-free community.

Registration: 8:30 a.m.
Rubbage Ride: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lunch served: 12:00 p.m.

The event is open to the public. Riders will ride (or walk) out and pick up as much litter as possible, and at the end of the ride sort their rubbage into trash, recycling and compost. All riders get to participate in a raffle drawing to win prizes and will also receive trendy, nylon washable backpacks.

Experts will be on hand to answer all of your questions about alternative transportation, bike safety, waste reduction and sustainability, whether you have questions specifically about initiatives by NC State or these topics in general!

What do you need?
10-15 bikes will be available on a first come first serve basis. However, if you do not have a bike or cannot ride a bike, you may walk around campus picking up litter or just be there for the fun!
