Sustainability Partners is a community of NC State employees and students interested in sustainability on campus and beyond. The group is managed by the University Sustainability Office and the Staff Senate Resources and Environment Committee.
Monthly tours, talks and other gatherings will be scheduled so that the NC State community can acquire more knowledge about sustainability and sustainable practices. All events in this series are certified sustainable.
Home Efficiency Workshop
Feb. 7, Noon – 12:45 pm in Talley Student Union Room 4270
It’s winter, and it can be cold outside! Explore ways that you can increase comfort in your home while also reducing energy costs during winter months. This workshop is packed with tips from Dr. Sarah Kirby, an NC State professor in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Dr. Kirby’s areas of expertise include residential energy management and healthy homes.
Drive Green, Save Green Workshop
Feb. 28, Noon – 12:45 pm in Talley Student Union Room 4280
With gas prices on the upswing, there’s never been a better time to save fuel. In this workshop, Rick Sapienza of the NC Clean Energy Technology Center will show you how simple changes in how you drive and the equipment you buy can improve fuel economy while also reducing harmful emissions. Come ready to save green by driving green.
