The North Carolina Golf Course Operatorā€™s Associationā€™s Sustainability Award recognizes the ability to incorporate sustainability and environmental stewardship into operating practices. NC State’s Lonnie Poole Golf Course, the 2019 honoree, is one of only two college golf courses designated as a Certified Silver Audubon International Signature Sanctuary. Not only does the course utilize environmental guidelines, it was built to meet them.
