The University Sustainability Office offers certification for campus departments to showcase their commitment to NC State’s value of sustainability.
The easy-to-use online certification form allows participants to self-report sustainable actions, earning points toward a total score certification at the Contributor, Steward or Champion level. These actions cover a wide range of positive impacts, including energy and water conservation, employee health and wellness, community stewardship and more.
To get started, review the online resources which serve as a guide in assessing your current practices. The resources given mirror the online certification form. The process is straightforward and can be completed in 15 minutes.
A Sustainable Workplace Certification is now recognized for three years. This provides an excellent opportunity to promote your sustainable achievements through social media, annual reports and stakeholder news, enhancing your department’s reputation and encouraging others to participate.
