Become Empowered!

March 30 and April 6, 11, 12, 13

The Empower Film Series will address contentious topics impacting our society, economy and environment and create a platform for developing partnerships and solutions to the greatest challenges facing us today. Three films will be shown on five different days from March 30th to April 13th. All films are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

March 30th, 6:30 p.m., Campus Cinema: The 11th Hour (with a presentation by Working Films at 8:00 p.m. and a networking event with Working Films and Triangle USGBC Emerging Professionals at The Player’s Retreat at 8:30 p.m.)

April 6th, 7:00 p.m., Campus Cinema: Vanishing of the Bees (with a BeeXtravaganza on Harris Field. at 5:00 p.m.)

April 11th, 4:30 and 7:15 p.m., Poe Hall Rm 216: Waiting for Superman

April 12th, 7:00 and 9:30 p.m., Campus Cinema: Waiting for Superman

April 13th, 8:00 p.m., Campus Cinema: Waiting for Superman (with a special discussion moderated by Dean Fleener of the College of Education at 6:15 p.m.)

Films are presented by NC State University Sustainability Office and the Union Activities Board Film Committee, in association with the Triangle USGBC Emerging Professionals, Wolfpack Environmental Student Association, and the College of Education and Teaching Fellows.
