Applications Open For Campus Sustainability Internships

NC State students can now apply for more than 20 campus sustainability internships through the Campus As A Classroom program. These paid positions span 14 sustainability projects and pair students with faculty and staff to advance campus sustainability.

The internships offer many benefits, including:

1. Real-world Impact: Students participate in meaningful, tangible projects that actively contribute to the university’s commitment to sustainability.

2. Professional Development: All students selected for an internship participate in a year-long cohort experience to develop professional skills that go beyond the classroom, as well as opportunities to learn from each other.

3. Network Expansion: Students connect and collaborate with industry professionals and stakeholders, building relationships that can shape future opportunities.

4. Hands-on Learning: Students gain practical, hands-on experience that deepens their understanding of sustainability practices.

5. Sustainable Career Pathways: The skills and experiences acquired will prepare students for a range of career opportunities in the rapidly growing field of sustainability.

Campus projects available this year include water quality monitoring, waste diversion and compost research, sustainable dining initiatives, fan engagement at athletic events, promoting pollinators and much more. Specific information on each project is available in the application form

Applications are open through July 21, 2023. For more information on available projects and to apply for Campus As A Classroom, visit go.ncsu.edu/cac-internships.
