Wellness Apps to Improve Your Well-Being

As the semester winds down and final exams, holiday parties, holiday travel and family gatherings approach, it’s important for NC State students, faculty and staff to continue to take time to focus on their mental and physical wellness.

Fortunately, NC State offers several free or low-cost apps to help you do just that. These apps range from personal training to guided meditation, building healthy habits and more.

Wellness and Recreation’s Alexis Steptoe, assistant director of wellness, explained that in the post-COVID world, it’s more important than ever to have different programs and services on demand so that anyone can use them on the go in a hybrid working/education environment of in-person and virtual spaces.

“More and more, we’re finding that folks really do want that on-demand access, something that tailors more specifically to their needs,” Steptoe said. “So they can filter things based on what they need. They can look at things that are most important to them at that point in time and that go with them wherever they are.”

Here are a few free/discounted apps for NC State students, faculty and staff.
