With a new academic year comes new opportunities for sustainability-related education.
NC State has recently announced several new offerings. Many are already underway for fall semester but plan now to be part of future courses.
- The College of Design’s Natural Learning Initiative has created two professional education certificate programs that focus on early childhood outdoor learning environments. Tracks are available for early childhood educators as well as landscape designers.
- The College of Design now offers a graduate certificate in public interest design, which seeks to broaden access to the benefits of sustainable design to all.
- The College of Natural Resources offers a new graduate certificate in military land sustainability. This new distance-education graduate certificate trains professionals to manage natural resources on and around military bases to preserve natural resources and maintain military readiness.
The programs are in addition to existing sustainability-related courses and degree programs at the university.
