Annual Sustainability Report Released

The University Sustainability Office at North Carolina State University has released the 2008-2009 Annual Sustainability Report.

The goal of the Annual Sustainability Report is to highlight programs and projects that represent the depth of sustainability efforts on campus. Focus areas of the report include: academics, research, buildings, community and culture, energy, land use, materials management, transportation, waste reduction and recycling and water.

Tracy Dixon, director of the University Sustainability Office, said, “The Annual Sustainability Report showcases the diversity of sustainability activities happening each day on our campus.”

She continued with saying, “It is important for us to be aware of the wide array of activities so that we can identify logical places for collaboration.”

In an effort to reduce waste and printing costs, the office decided to release the report exclusively online. Readers can view and download the report by visiting, the Sustainability web page.
