NCSU To Work Towards Climate Neutrality

In recognizing the role model that higher education institutions have in the community, NC State has signed American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment, which addresses global warming due to greenhouse gases and commits our university to working towards climate neutrality.  As part of this commitment we will be completing a comprehensive inventory (carbon footprint) of all our greenhouse gas emissions from electricity, heating, commuting and travel. Following the carbon footprint we will develop and implement an institutional action plan for becoming climate neutral. This effort is being coordinated by Jeff Hightower, director of infrastructure planning for Facilities Operations.
