Sustainability is for everyone. Explore how you can find your place in sustainability this year with the following programs and resources.
On Campus
- Explore sustainability-related faculty resources, courses or degrees. You can also request a presentation for your class or campus group.
- Connect with the Sustainability Partners community and take part in monthly tours, talks and other gatherings to learn more sustainability. This group is open to all NC State employees and students.
- Join a student organization. While there are many sustainability-related groups, such as the Sustainability Stewards, all organizations can integrate sustainability into their mission and operations with the Sustainable Student Organization Certification program.
- Advance sustainability on campus by submitting a grant application to the Sustainability Fund. All ideas are welcome that create high-impact experiences for the student body. Grant awards typically range from $1,000 to $50,000 with up to $150,000 available each year.
- Green your workplace with the Sustainable Workplace Certification program. Promote the well-being of your team in addition to promoting wise stewardship of economic and environmental resources.
Beyond the Bricks
- Get involved with the community by volunteering. There are numerous sustainability-related service opportunities available across the county.
- Learn about sustainability through a service trip with Alternative Service Break or a study abroad experience with the Office of Global Engagement.
- Connect with NC State Extension to gain in-depth knowledge of caring for and living in harmony with our natural environment.
- Discover environmental and energy solutions for your home or business with NC Clean Energy Technology Center and NC State Industry Expansion Solutions.
- Support just and equitable food and farming systems in North Carolina with the Center for Environmental Farming Systems.
