Campus Sustainability Day

The Campus Sustainability Day Planning Committee invites all NC State students, staff, faculty, and community members to celebrate Campus Sustainability Day on Friday, September 21, 2012.

This year, Campus Sustainability Day will include two events:

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Grand Opening
11:30 a.m. – 1:30p.m.
Behind Partners I, 1017 Main Campus Drive, Centennial Campus

Grab lunch from a food truck, snag some free Howling Cow ice cream, test drive an electric vehicle, learn about campus’ newest charging stations, and see a student-built EcoCAR2!

The Reusable Regatta Raft Race
Build Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Race Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Lake Raleigh, Centennial Campus

The Reusable Regatta is a friendly competition that exists in order to help spread awareness about the importance of sustainability and waste reduction on campus.

All NC State students, staff, and faculty members have the opportunity to build and race a raft using only recyclable materials. There is a small, $10 fee registration fee. To register for the race, visit: go.ncsu.edu/reusableregatta

Spectators are also welcome to come out and cheer on the participants!
