Wellness Day is every day at the Libraries
Did you take some time for yourself or do a fun activity with friends on Wellness Day last week? The Libraries wants to remind you that we have wellness programs and events several times a week all semester long!
From drop-in crafting and journaling activities to Femme nights to the simple pleasure of petting therapy dogs, stay tuned to Libraries events, subscribe for occasional email updates, and follow @ncsulibraries for fun and interesting things to do all semester long.
Libraries wellness offerings include:
At Crafting Resilience events, just drop-in to make bracelets, origami books, herbal tea blends and slime. Co-organized with Prevention Services in the Hill Library’s Fishbowl Forum on select Tuesdays; all materials provided.
Make a customized journal at Creative Journaling every fourth Wednesday in the Hill Library’s Fishbowl Forum. Whether you’re interested in a sketchbook for drawing, a journal for daily thoughts, we provide the materials to assemble your journal and then bind them for you to keep.
Our trio of Femme nights—including Femme Making Night, Femme Beat-Making Night, and Femme Game Night—devote time and space that prioritizes equity and inclusion through regularly scheduled gaming sessions, technology and media showcases, and designated making opportunities. Plus they are hands-on and lots of fun.
At Pause for Paws at the Hill and Hunt Libraries and Paws for a Break at the VetMed Library, drop-in to hang out with certified therapy dogs from Canines for Service. Furry friends appear through a partnership with Prevention Services.
Other occasional collaborations with Prevention Services include Drop-In Mindfulness and Biofeedback with HeartMath. Watch our listing of wellness events for these!
Did you know that you can check out spectrum lamps, meditation lights, animatronic pets, and an inner balance trainer from our Wellness and Accessibility collection?
As the semester ends and exams approach, keep your eyes peeled for De-Stress Fest at the Libraries. We’ll be offering exam kits, therapy dogs, snack fairies, immersive aquariums and more.
