Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Jenny Paul, and I am a senior majoring in Psychology with minors in Environmental Science; Biology; and Health, Medicine, and Human Values. I firmly believe that our health and the health of the environment are directly intertwined, and that we have the power and the responsibility to nourish the planet as we would ourselves. That is what interests me most about sustainability – the inherent connection between us and the planet. I want to effectively communicate this message to everyone and to empower the NC State community to incorporate sustainability and nature into their lives to make the earth a healthier place for everyone. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, knitting, cross-stitch, and playing cards.

What does sustainability mean to you?

Sustainability to me is living in harmony with our earth to most effectively meet all of our needs. I firmly believe that our health and the health of the environment are directly intertwined and that we have the power and the responsibility to nourish the planet as we would ourselves. Striving towards a sustainable future means improving our own well-being by adding positive things to our lives rather than restricting or blaming our mistakes. That is what sustainability is – the inherent connection between us and the planet.
