Get To Know: Campus Farmer’s Market

On Wednesdays 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. during the fall and spring semester, the NC State Brickyard becomes a pop-up shop for local products.

Campus Farmers Market, one of NC State’s sustainability-related student organizations, organizes the weekly event so that students, faculty and staff have access to fresh, local produce and goods. Plus, members provide educational programming on sustainability and agriculture.

“We promote buying local, which reduces carbon footprint. We bring the farmers’ market to students, so students do not have to travel far for fresh goods and produce,” says member Caitlyn Ashworth.
