In celebration of the third anniversary of the North Carolina plastic bottle landfill ban, NC State Waste Reduction and Recycling and Dr. Gary Blank’s NR 100 course are partnering to present the NC State Bottle Ban Freeze.

The goal of the freeze is to raise awareness about the North Carolina plastic bottle landfill ban and to promote the importance of recycling.

How can you get involved?

  1. Come to the Brickyard before 1:20 p.m. on October 1, 2012 – make sure to have a plastic bottle!
  2. Freeze when the whistle sounds at 1:20 p.m. with your plastic bottle in hand
  3. Stay frozen until you hear the whistle again around 1:25 p.m.
  4. Unfreeze and recycle your plastic bottle
