Fellowship Program

NC State was awarded a $475,488 grant sponsored by the North Carolina Energy Office and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).The grant funded 10 full-time positions to develop tomorrow’s energy leaders. These Energy Fellows participate in a wide array of projects that include alternative transportation studies, communication projects, community outreach, data analysis, and smart grid research.

The Fellows are working together on three large-scale group projects to be completed by April 2012. The projects were chosen through discussion among the partner organizations for their potential to have a significant impact on NC State’s campus energy consumption, research, and outreach long after the projects are completed.

Each project is outlined below:
Sustainable Outreach Materials  |  Centennial Campus Smart Grid Feasibility Study  |  Alternative Fuel Database
