Megan graduated from NC State in May 2011 with a B.S. in Environmental Technology and Management. Prior to becoming an Energy Fellow, she was an intern with Waste Reduction and Recycling at NC State, the North Carolina Division of Environmental Assistance and Outreach (NCDENR), and the Independent Weekly’s Hopscotch Music Festival. Her background is predominantly in education, outreach, social marketing, volunteer coordination and green event planning. Outside of work, Megan enjoys listening to music, going to local concerts, and generally being outdoors.

As an energy fellow for the University Sustainability Office, Megan provides education and outreach support for various sustainability efforts on campus. Some of her duties include: preparing the weekly e-newsletter; giving presentations; serving roles on the Campus Sustainability Day and Earth Day planning committees; working with campus partners to design a green ambassador program; and tabling at outreach events.
