Helen holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and she has completed work for her M.S. in Physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has significant experience as a technical researcher in solar materials and as a science educator. Before joining the Energy Fellows, she worked as a science reporter for regional news outlets. Outside of work, Helen enjoys backpacking, gardening, baking and home brewing.
As an energy fellow in the North Carolina Solar Center’s Clean Transportation Program, Helen is working on updating educational materials about alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technology. She is also managing the center’s newsletter.
