Launched in the 2010-2011 academic year, the mission of the Change Your State campaign is to encourage students, faculty and staff to become more environmentally conscious on NC State University’s campus, and beyond. Currently, the campaign's focus is on energy conservation.
The average annual electric bill for NC State is $22 million. The goal for the 2011-2012 academic year is to realize a 5 percent reduction in electricity consumed on campus. By working together to achieve this goal, NC State can save roughly $1.1 million (or more) yearly and help protect our limited resources for future generations.
