NC State University has a long history of effective outreach campaigns. In fact, the university has won multiple awards for it’s engagement and awareness programs. The Climate Action Plan explains one of the five most cost effective strategies NC State can implement toward it’s goal of climate neutrality is conservation outreach and behavior change.
Currently, several initiatives of the Energy Management and University Sustainability offices address behavior change and awareness on campus. From residence halls to labs, the campus community can make a big impact on the utility costs associated with operations.
